As you've obviously noticed, rideDC is back online. And there have been some changes. We haven't been able to tweak things as much as we wanted, but the main priority was getting back online. The main change you'll see is the registration & login are now only located in the forum. Login to the forums with your usual username & password. Please contact us if you experience any issues. We will be continuing to update the site to help you get what you need out of your e-biking experience. Be safe out there! |

Herndon Skatepark Meeting! |
|
Friday, 30 January 2009 09:05 |
What: City of Herndon Skatepark Meeting
When: Feb. 9th from 7-8pmAgenda: Make sure that bikes are included in the park!! "The meeting is to discuss design and construction bids and approval processes, also they will discuss what type of skate park will be built (wood vs concrete). My concern is that the inclusion of bikes has never been discussed. I think a lot of kids are just assuming that bikes will be allowed in and I don't want to leave that up to the people planning the park. I would like to see a big turnout for the meeting to show them that we would like to have a say in what is going to be built. They would like for people in attendence to bring a written list or photos of their top 5 elements they would like to see included in the park.If anyone needs directions they can call my shop at (703) 793-0400" - Rob V, A-1 Cycles If you are looking for ideas of what to suggest, there is a huge gallery of skatepark components over at :http://www.americanrampcompany.com/design_001.html Please print some out andbring them to the meeting for discussion. If we don't get a foot in early in the process, bikes may be excluded from the park plan. |

Just got this note on the forums from Rob V:
Didn't know if you guys already knew about Ricky Chang? He works for A-1 Cycling out in our Manassas shop and was injured badly on the 19th of July. He suffered a broke back and has been transported to Atlanta to begin his long road to recovery. As of today he is still on a ventilator and has no feeling below his chest. He can move his hands and his arms a little. He is surrounded by friends and family members. Just keep him in your thoughts even if you didn't know him personally just remember he was doing what we all love to do and that is RIDE OUR BIKES!
Here's a link to his page on Carepages. Sign up and leave him a note, it really makes a difference. Good luck Ricky, we're all thinking about you.
