2010 RideDC.com U.S. Open Trip Report
Thursday, 10 June 2010 09:26
The RideDC.com U.S. Open Trip is in the books and it was eventful to say the least. The week started with a four-hour drive up to New Jersey to ride with the likes of Aaron Chase, Adam Hauck, and a few others at Jeff Lenosky’s jump jam. An awesome video edited by the guys over at Trashbike can be found here. The team made it over to Diablo Freeride Park on Thursday and began practicing for the U.S. Open Giant Slalom and Downhill races as well as filming for the upcoming episode of The Chase Files. The best riders in the world were in attendance and hungry for the $7500 top prize including Andrew Neethling, Mik Hannah, Gee Atherton, and pretty much every other big name in downhill-mountain biking. Qualifying for the Giant Slalom included Mitch Ropelato taking the top pro spot as well as RideDC.com team members Joe Burkell and Adam Cain both qualifying for the amateur senior men finals.
They're back...the guys at RideDC.com took to the road this time and found some awesome downhill and freeride trails to hit up in the MD area and then traveled to Massanutten Ski Resort to race the Gravity East Series Race #1! Check out all the action in this ChaseFiles Webisode! And keep coming back for more on rides in and around the DC, VA, and MD area!

Thou shall not ride jumps when wet or soggy
Thou shall not ride jumps that are blocked off, even if 'rideable'
Thou shall put tarps back after riding
Thou shall not start new holes and pits close to jumps, or anywhere else without consulting the locals
Thou shall not scrape mud out of bowls/pits between jumps
Thou shall put away shovels back where they belong when done
Thou shall not change jumps or existing lines without consulting locals.
Thou shall not skid between jumps
Thou shall not leave any trash upon departure
Thou shall use CLAY when patching or fixing jumps, NOT black dirt or silt!
